Maritime and Sea going Vessels and Cargo Ships are exposed to the most corrosive environment perennially. Since the metal body is exposed to either sea water or saline ambiance, the impermeable membrane coating of Metchem will play a big role.
Depending on the life expectation, the coating thickness may vary but a minimum 200 micron DFT is required.
Another advantage of Metachem is it’s Thermoplastic nature. Once Meta-Chem paint is used then during maintenance there is no need of removing the existing paint layer, fresh paint can be applied on the existing layer to form a monolithic layer.
